argument: Normativa/Regulations - Digital Governance

According to an article by the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), China has unveiled a comprehensive three-year action plan aimed at accelerating the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors. This plan, initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), outlines several key initiatives and targets to be achieved by 2027.

The plan emphasizes the integration of AI with traditional industries, promoting intelligent product innovation in areas such as smart homes, autonomous vehicles, unmanned systems, and smart security solutions. Key projects include:

  1. Smart Home Projects: Encouraging the development and application of AI technologies in household products to create new consumer markets and improve service models in health care, entertainment, and security.

  2. Intelligent Vehicle R&D: Accelerating the research and development of technologies for self-driving cars, including intelligent driver assistance systems, high-precision maps, and onboard intelligent equipment.

  3. Unmanned Systems: Promoting the commercialization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other unmanned systems, with applications in logistics, agriculture, and emergency rescue.

  4. Smart Security: Developing intelligent security products that integrate technologies such as biometric recognition and video analysis to enhance public safety and disaster response.

  5. Medical Imaging and Diagnosis: Enhancing AI-powered medical imaging systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of disease diagnosis and support the commercialization of these technologies in private healthcare.

The plan also aims to improve AI capabilities in speech and language processing, with targets for high-accuracy intelligent translation systems and speech recognition. By 2027, the government expects significant advancements in face recognition accuracy, smart wearable devices, and intelligent robotics.

The overarching goal of this action plan is to establish China as a global leader in AI, enhancing the nation's technological capabilities and economic growth through innovation and widespread AI adoption.
