According to an article on the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye website, on May 31, 2024, Chairman Prof. Dr. Muharrem KILIÇ participated as a panelist in the "Artificial Intelligence and Law Panel" at Ankara Medipol University. The panel was part of the European Union-Council of Europe Joint Project aimed at supporting the effective implementation of Turkish Constitutional Court judgments in the field of fundamental rights. During the event, Prof. Dr. KILIÇ delivered a speech titled "Algorithmic Discrimination in the Context of Human Rights and Equality Law," where he discussed the challenges and implications of AI in relation to human rights and equality law. He emphasized the importance of addressing algorithmic biases and ensuring that AI systems are developed and used in ways that uphold human rights and equality principles.
