The University of Macerata (UniMC) has received European Union funding for a pioneering research project on artificial intelligence and intellectual property. The initiative aims to explore the legal and ethical implications of AI’s role in creating, managing, and protecting intellectual property. The project will address challenges such as defining ownership of AI-generated works, ensuring compliance with copyright laws, and managing disputes related to AI and creativity.

UniMC’s research team will collaborate with European institutions and stakeholders to develop recommendations for harmonizing intellectual property regulations across EU member states.
