Unlike countries like the United States, China, and major European powers that have implemented extensive AI regulations, Switzerland opts for minimal interference to foster innovation. Livia Walpen of OFCOM and Ayisha Piotti, head of the Annual AI Policy Summit, emphasize that Switzerland prefers sector-specific regulations over broad policies, avoiding the constraints of the EU AI Act. This strategy allows Swiss AI firms to innovate freely while balancing sensible regulation and strong research.
