According to an article by Government Technology, a survey by SAS and Coleman Parkes Research highlights significant gaps between public and private sectors in generative AI adoption. The survey, which included 1,600 organizations, found public-sector employees have less understanding and usage of generative AI compared to their private-sector counterparts. Key findings include lower familiarity with AI, hesitance towards synthetic data, and fewer AI governance policies in the public sector. To bridge these gaps, public agencies must embrace innovative solutions, develop robust AI policies, and enhance employee education on AI benefits and applications.
