FAQ

1) How can I access the contents of the Journal?

Access to the open journal site is free upon registration. When you register, remember to keep your email address and registration password for all subsequent accesses.

If you have problems registering, please contact ufficioabbonamenti@giappichelli.it.

Access to the subscription Journal site is subject to the sending of credentials which are sent within 48 working hours from the moment you subscribe.

To browse the Journal site, click on the LOGIN button and enter your credentials. Pay attention to the correct typing because the fields are case sensitive. If you have entered your credentials correctly, the LOGIN button will transform into USER PROFILE.

At any time from the USER PROFILE you can consult your personal details, current subscriptions, and carry out the correct LOGOUT by clicking the appropriate button as well as changing your password. Remember not to change your password if you are a registered user.

We remind you to always exit the consultation by clicking the LOGOUT button to correctly close the session of using the Journal since otherwise the session closed incorrectly remains in progress for approximately 15 minutes during which if you attempted to log back in you would be returned with the License Limit Reached as if another user was already consulting it.

 

2) When I try to log in with the credentials in my possession, the system replies that the credentials entered are incorrect

This could be caused by incorrect typing of the user and/or password which must be entered correctly both in the REGISTRATION phase and in the LOGIN phase; in the "LOGIN" or "REGISTER" area the fields and characters are case sensitive, so it is advisable to pay attention to inadvertent spaces at the beginning or end of credentials and to uppercase and lowercase letters.

 

3) I'm trying to log in but the system replies that the product is already in use on another device although I don't see any other active sessions. What should I do?

For your information, if that message appears there are only two possibilities:

a) Someone else with credentials is using the Journal (a studio practitioner, a colleague etc. etc.)

b) Or you have left the Journal website without LOGING OUT correctly. In this case, when you try to access again, the site is busy for about 15 minutes by the previous user who was disconnected incorrectly. Once the indicated time has elapsed without any activity, it will automatically log out and you will be able to log in again.

The “LOGOUT” button is located in your USER PROFILE section.

In case a) you can contact us to change your access credentials but they will be changed for all the Journals to which you are subscribed. In case b) if you still cannot access after waiting 15 minutes, contact ufficioabbonamenti@giappichelli.it or customer office 011/815.35.43.

 

4) I want to contact the season ticket office because I can't log in.

In these cases it is always advisable to take a screen shot of the system response and send us the report attaching the response. In this way it will be easier for us to identify the causes and intervene promptly.

 If you connect via IP or Proxy, when sending the report, always indicate the IP or Proxy address from which you are accessing so that we can check that the range is correct.

 

5) I used the FORGOT PASSWORD function for one of my Giappichelli Journals, does the new password now apply to all the other Journals I subscribe to?

Yes, the new password must be used for all the Journals to which you subscribe, no further password changes will be necessary for the other Journals.

 

6) I used the FORGOT PASSWORD function but I don't receive the new password in my email

It is possible that the email with the new password ended up in JUNK MAIL. Try checking your SPAM box and otherwise contact ufficioabbonamenti@giapppicchelli.it

 

7) I am a registered user, I enter USER and PSW but I do not log in

Affiliated users generally do not require PSW, as they are pre-registered. Therefore, in case of failure to access, contact the season ticket office with the identification details for your agreement.

 

8) I tried to register on the Open Access Journal website by filling in all the fields of the online FORM but the system does not accept the registration and asks me to contact the subscription service

This happens because you are trying to register with the same username and/or with the same email address already in use; in this case it is essential to proceed by contacting ufficioabbonamenti@giappichelli.it or by calling 011.815.35.43
